Thomasville police on Wednesday were looking for a person who robbed an insurance office.
Officers responded to All Risk Insurance, 301 National Highway, at 11:07 a.m. on Tuesday in reference to a robbery.
Police said a white male entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded money. The suspect was described as about 35 years old, with brown hair, and about 6 feet to 6 feet, 3 inches tall.
He was wearing black sunglasses, a plain black ball cap, light gray T-shirt, white socks that pulled up high, and shorts. He was last seen running with an undisclosed amount of money in the 800 block of Culbreth Avenue.
The suspect got into a 1998 to 2004 black Nissan Maxima parked nearby and fled the area. The Maxima had a rear spoiler.
Detectives on Wednesday were following up on several leads, police said. One employee was alone and there were no customers inside the business at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
