Police net $2.1 million in cocaine

An Archdale man is in jail and a large sum of illegal drugs are off the street after Archdale Police Department arrested the man for drug trafficking.
On Monday, officers with the departments Vice and Narcotics division responded to a complaint at 11324 Archdale Road.
With the help of High Point Police and the Randolph County Sheriff’s office, officers arrested Gabriel Murcia Zazueta, seized 21 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $2.1 million, and $4,000 in cash.
Zazueta, who lived at the residence, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, place for a controlled substance.
Zazueta is being held in the Randolph County Jail under a $2,000,000 secured bond.
