Body identified as High Point landlord
Greensboro police are still searching for the man that killed a High Point landlord on Tuesday.
Marwan Mukhiber Mujali, 45, was found shot inside a white van at the Wendover Manor Apartment complex located on E. Wendover Avenue at around 10:47 a.m.
Mujali, who owned the apartments, was taken to Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police responded to the scene after receiving calls to 911 about gunshots in the area.
“This is still a very active investigation, and we are still continuing to interview people and follow leads today, but we have not made any arrest yet,” said Susan Danielson, Greensboro police spokesperson.
A search warrant has been issued for one of the townhomes, but Danielson did not say what police are looking for. They do not believe that Mujali’s killing was a random shooting.
“Until we can figure out what’s relevant and what’s not relevant to taking someone into custody, it’s not wise for us to release a lot,” Danielson said.
