High Point police investigate shooting

High Point police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday evening on Hoskins Street.
Capt. Jason Henderson said officers were dispatched to the area of Hoskins and Washington streets at approximately 7:11 p.m. in reference to a shooting. While en route to this location, officers received information that the victim had been transported by a personal vehicle to the emergency room at High Point Regional Hospital.
Henderson said the victim, Mario Donahue, 25, was stabilized at the hospital, then transported by helicopter to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for further treatment. Detectives are still investigating the incident and interviewing witnesses. No charges have been filed at this time.
