Three men arrested for counterfeiting

Three Thomasville men were charged with counterfeiting Tuesday.
Troy Alexander Washington, 21, of Brooklyn, NY, Caleb Hayden King, 17, of Thomasville, and Jordan Wayne Kinney, 17, of Thomasville were all arrested and charged with felonious obtaining property by false pretenses, felonious possession of five or more counterfeit instruments, felonious uttering a forged instrument and felony conspiracy of uttering forged instruments.
Police were called to Cook Out on Randolph Street on Tuesday afternoon after receiving information that the men were trying to pass a counterfeit bill.
The joint investigation between Thomasville and High Point police and the U.S. Secret Service is continuing and additional charges are pending.
Washington and King are being held in the Davidson County Jail under a secured $25,000 bond.
Kinney is being held in the Davidson County Jail under a secured $27,000 bond. He was served with a warrant from the sheriff’s department for a larceny unrelated to the counterfeiting incident.
Police are urging businesses to be on the lookout for counterfeit $50 and $100 bills. Anyone who believes they may have received a counterfeit bill or suspect someone of trying to use one is encouraged to call Thomasville police at 336-475-4260.
