Thomasville Furniture has a new president.
Furniture Brands International, the St. Louis-based parent company of Thomasville Furniture, announced last week that Kathy Veltri was appointed the company’s top executive. Veltri will be responsible for all facets of the Thomasville Furniture brand, including company-owned Thomasville Furniture stores.
Veltri most recently was senior vice president of sales and marketing for Arhaus Furniture. At Arhaus, she held positions with increasing levels of responsibility that included marketing and brand management and store operations.
Veltri has more than 20 years of retail experience. Her background includes work for Cole National, which includes the retailers Pearle Vision, Sears Optical and Target Optical, Sight Resource Inc. and J.B. Robinson Jewelers.
“There are tremendous opportunities ahead for this brand to create a best-in-class retail environment, while offering amazing fashion for the home,” she said.
Veltri replaces Ed Teplitz, outgoing president of Thomasville Furniture, who will be leaving the company later this week.
Furniture Brands International’s brands include Thomasville, Broyhill, Lane, Drexel Heritage, Henredon, Pearson, Hickory Chair, Lane Venture, Maitland-Smith and LaBarge.
