Wal-Mart Stores Inc. recently began hiring and accepting applications for workers at its third city location opening later this summer in the Wendover Landing business complex.

Wal-Mart will hire up to 95 at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market, which is near the intersection of Penny Road and Wendover Avenue in north High Point. People may apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.
The High Point Enterprise first reported last summer that Wal-Mart was planning its first Neighborhood Market store in the city and would hire up to 95 workers.
The openings are for full- and part-time positions, said store manager Billy Lewis.
Hiring for the new Walmart began May 28. The majority of new workers will begin in July to help prepare the store for its grand opening, Wal-Mart reports.
Wal-Mart has two other, larger traditional stores in north and south High Point. The Neighborhood Market is a smaller store that concentrates on grocery merchandise.
