Tammy Lynn Sanchez Cochran
TRINITY — Tammy Lynn Sanchez Cochran, 42, of Trinity, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013. A service to celebrate Tammy’s life will be held Friday, September 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
Ruby “Boots” Gibson
LEXINGTON — Ruby Lee “Boots” Brinkle Gibson of Lexington, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Davidson Funeral Home.
Clair James Hilborn
HIGH POINT — Clair James Hilborn, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Hospice Home at High Point. He was the loving husband of the late Mildred “Millie” (Page) Hilborn.
Mr. Hilborn was born on December 22, 1927,in Battle Creek, Michigan, a son of the late Albert Harlow and Margurite (Horn) Hilborn. He was a former structural millwright for GMC for 25 years until his retirement.
He was a member of First Wesleyan Church, High Point.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country during WWII.
He enjoyed golfing, cooking, working in the yard, but most of all spending time with his family.
Mr. Hilborn is survived by a daughter, Jane Wall and her husband, Steve of Archdale; four grandchildren, Carolee A. Barker and her husband, Brian of Toledo, Ohio; Ginny R. Pyles and her husband, Michael of Battle Creek, Michigan; Robin L. Hilborn of Galesburg, Michigan, and Brooke Curran and her husband, Joey of Thomasville; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Barker, Brooke Morey, Kristyn and Linsey Pyles, and Callie, Carter and Sara Jane Curran; and a great-great-granddaughter, Adriana Morey. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Dwight W. Hilborn.
A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, with Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory and Mausoleum, Kernersville. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of High Point, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.

Hazel Lewis McGaha
HIGH POINT — Hazel Lewis McGaha, 95, of High Point, died Tuesday at the Hospice Home at High Point. Born September 17, 1917, in Johnson City, TN, and later moving to Irwin, TN, she is a daughter of the late James Lewis and Leatha Osborne Lewis. Mrs. McGaha retired from Trailways Bus Line in Charlotte. She was a member of First Baptist Church of High Point and the Joy Keystone Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGaha was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Bruce McGaha in 1995 and a son Mark Steven McGaha in 2012 and three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by one son Michael McGaha and wife Libby of High Point; three grandchildren, Michael McGaha, II and wife Whitney, Jennifer Craven and husband Jack and John McGaha and wife Angie. She is also survived by great-grandson Cody and four step-great- grandchildren, Lee, Erika, Alex and Morgan.
Funeral services for Mrs. McGaha will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, with the Reverend Bruce Hartgrove officiating. Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Mt. Holly. The family will greet friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
