One dead in apparent drowning
Authorities over the weekend were investigating an apparent drowning of a man in southern Davidson County.
Multiple media outlets reported that the body of 36-year-old Tim Strickland was recovered from a creek behind a residence in the 2700 block of Regan Road Saturday morning.
Strickland was reported missing by family members about a week before his body was found. Sheriff’s deputies had been searching for him until family members reportedly found his body in a creek behind a home where he occasionally stayed.
Authorities reportedly do not suspect foul play in Strickland’s death, and sent his body to the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
The scene where his body was found is between Thomasville and Denton, about 15 miles south of High Point.
