School spirits?

Odd experiences in Guilford Technical Community College's T.H. Davis Aviation Center and its hangar have led Mark Shoenfelt, campus director at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and others to believe the campus’ next-door neighbors — spirits from a cemetery just steps away — pop in for visits.

Main GTCC campus took over TB sanatorium grounds

The T.H. Davis Aviation Center in Greensboro isn’t the only Guilford Technical Community College campus with an interesting, and maybe a little creepy, history. GTCC’s main Jamestown campus once was Guilford County’s tuberculosis sanatorium.

Perfect Storm subdues Panthers

Southern Guilford trailed by 14 early in the second half, struggling to stop Ledford while missing opportunities of its own. But, with a rush of big plays, it scored 28 straight points and emerged with a 35-21 win Friday at C.K. Siler Stadium.
